Scrambled Eggs Features

Scrambled Eggs is a file scramble program that will scramble any file to an unreadable state.  Then, when you’re ready, it will restore the file back to its original state.
Scrambled Eggs is not intended for files that require the utmost of security but to protect files from the common layperson.

Scrambled file may be sent by email to other parties who can then unscramble the file and read or use as desired.  Some files are not allowed to be sent by some email programs due to their potential danger.  Scrambled Eggs scrambled files will pass through the email firewall easily.

Usage

Output Path

This is where you will select the destination folder for your output file.  If no output path is selected, then the drag source folder will be used.  To select an output folder, type in the path name, or simply press the Path button. Then select the folder where you want your files to go.  You may also create a new folder for your files. 

Drag and Drop

Using a program like Windows Explorer, select a single file or multiple files. Drag them to the Scrambled Eggs program, then drop.  Your files will be scrambled or unscrambled as applicable. Your files will be sent to the drag source folder or they will go to the output folder you selected.

Quit Button

Stops Scrambled Eggs from running.

Delete Original File

When this option is checked, the source file will be deleted from the source folder after the file has been processed.

Send to Recycle Bin

When this option is selected, the deleted file will go to the Recycle Bin and may be restored if needed.

Delete Permanently

When this option is selected, the deleted file will be permanently deleted.
